Look, I made a crappy comic!

The Bolt is my friend's character and Pocket Girl is mine. They're on a team called Stormfront together. It is awesome.
The Bolt is way more angsty than Pocket Girl, but I don't think she'll let him be for very long. 8D

Umm, to start off, I drew this while drunk. It was a request from Sofi who asked for her character, Eriol, beating up Faoust for a change.

Here's a sketch I did of Pocket Girl. She was going to be holding something, but I never got around to finishing it. I ended up liking the pose anyways, though.



I'm fiddling with my style again, so here's Jimmy and Todd from Spooked, being all buddy buddy and whatnot.

And a slightly more agressive Jimmy.


I do not like the coloring of this, but whateves. It's a print I did for AWA. It was Mori Girl fashion inspired.

Birds and Spooked stuff

Sorry I didn't get last week's post. I was in Cape Cod. Here's some junk now:
Here's Jimmy being all boringly posed and whatnot. Just a doodle of him, whatever.


Drake and Jimmy at the top, and Drake looking like a little jerk. Which he is. I was trying to get him look right after not drawing him for a long time.

Here are some birds drawn from antique bird cards. Mom wanted me to sketch them. I really like drawing birds and I'm not sure why.

Greatest Enemy

My friend and I like to exchange drawing prompts when the creative juices run low. It's a fun way to entertain ourselves and each other.
This time she asked me to draw Faoust versus his greatest enemy. I decided to pit him against pudding cups. I mean, really? Who can resist pudding?

I came back to Savannah to see my friends for a few days. Sofi and I tend to be pretty violent towards one another. This is pretty much what happened.

So yeah, there's a watercolor of an indigo bunting. I've been doing some bird paintings lately. I dunno, there's nothing more relaxing than painting some birds.

Also, I started reading a webcomic called Homestuck on mspaintadventures.com
Here's 2 of the characters, Karkat and Dave.

It's a super fun comic and I recommend it. It's like a video game, cartoon and comic combined. Glorious.

I am a loser. My comp's brain fried for a little bit and then I had to finish a project, so I'm behind on sketches. I'm hoping to catch up real soon, though!

Some gangly kids.

Look at that! 2 updates in a row! Miraculous! I didn't lie!
So for this post, we have 3 sketches. One thing I love to draw is kids. Gangly kids. Big heads, big hands and big feet. Anyways, here are a few I've done recently.


Here's another one of those pesky catboys. I dunno, you put cat ears on a kid and they're cuter or something. This kid's name is Eloi.


These kids are from my upcoming comic, Spooked. That's the tentative title right now, but I kinda like it. Anyways, the kid with the black hair is Jimmy. He's a normal kid. The girl doesn't have a name yet, but she's a werewolf. The dog there is her werewolf form. Admittedly, the poses are not inspired, but I mostly just wanted to get her design right. I THINK I like this one.

One thing I have never been able to quit drawing is Danny Phantom. Every once in a while, he sneaks into my sketchbook despite the fact that I have long since stopped watching the show. this is one of the only inked drawings I've done recently, so enjoy...I need to put some feet on him sometime...

Semi-Triumphant Return! Wherein everyone sits.

Ok, so that took a LOT longer than anticipated. I'm sure you were all waiting with baited breath, right? RIGHT! So, I have a few sketches, mostly blue-line that I'll post today. Let's get started, shall we?
Here we have a couple jerks. I'm trying to get better at drawing people sitting. Anytime I put legs into the mix, it's usually a disaster. So he's sitting on NOTHING! HOORAY! Sitting, check, chairs come next. Damn those chairs.


Speaking of those damn chairs, that is me failing at drawing a couch. And legs.
By the by, the guys I'm drawing just happen to be some old characters of mine and a friend's. Since I've moved on from a lot of my more weeaboo inclinations, sometimes it feels weird drawing elves and catboys, but I still enjoy the characters, so they get drawn anyways!

After drawing this picture, I realized that I know NOTHING about drawing guitars and if he's holding it all wrong, I would NEVER KNOW. Also, clothing folds still seem to elude me. Alas, still so much to work on!

Ok, so sorry for not updating for a while, but I was dealing with finals. I had no time to update, let alone sketch. So as soon as I get set up back at home, I plan on getting back into a nice update schedule! Keep a look out! It should be about a week or so!

WHO DUMP

So I missed yesterday, and I'll probably miss the next couple days as well, so here's a big dump.
DOCTOR WHO DUMP! \o/ I apologize for the quality of some of these scans, but I can't seem to be bothered to rip them out of the sketchbooks to scan them.Anyway, let's get to the sketches. For those of you who don't know already, I just started watching Doctor Who recently. I watched the entire reboot series plus the new episodes in a week or so. So 4 and a half seasons. Needless to say, it's been on my mind a lot.This is the first sketch I did of the Doctor beyond the one I posted last week. Was it last week? I don't know. Whatever. I did it without reference, so I'm not terribly fond of it.
I did this one shortly after, still trying to recall the 10th-ness.Then I watched the End of Time, and the Master was adorable and crazy and I love him.

I soon decided to try a doctor post where he's doing a little more than being a bust. So there's an action pose. I used reference, because I'm still not 100% confident with my action poses.
I got a new pencil and played with it by drawing more action Doctors. Again, referenced, but I had a lot of fun with them. Not too fond of that blue pencil Doc, though.

So all of these are of the 10th Doctor. I plan on drawing other Doctors as I progress backwards through the series. I love 9 and 11 is already great...

Needless to say, there will be a lot more Doctor Who sketches in the future.

Eriol

So, to kind of go with my last post, my friend that I met when I came to SCAD has this character here, Eriol. Well, oddly enough, she created him in 2001, the same time I made Faoust. Also, oddly: Faoust and Eriol look almost exactly the same. We found this matter to be incredibly weird when we found out. It's like we were meant to meet each other or something. Anyways, I like sketching this little guy because his personality is the exact opposite of Faoust's. It's fun to draw someone so defenseless and cute occasionally.

Meh

So I have this guy. He's been a character of mine for about 9 years (woah, really? Since 2001...) and he's never belonged in a story or anything. I really just had him because I liked him. He's gone through a lot of changes, but has still never really been in anything. So here he is. This guy is Faoust and he won't leave me alone. I sketch him all the time.

















Here's another sketch I did recently. I dunno. Just something I threw together in class. Mostly because I need to stop doing left facing bust shots.

Bad Costume Design! I CHOOSE YOU

I've been wanting to do one of these FOREVER. I love Pokemon. I really do. So I suppose this would be my ideal Pokemon team. Gyarados, Mew, Typhlosion, Beedrill, Ampharos, and Espeon. I would really prefer to have Zapdos or Celebii in there too, but I figured it would be unfair to have more than one legendary in my group.

I think my trainer costume needs a LOT of work, but I finally sketched my team. So fuck yeah.

Faerie Girl

I was writing a story for an 8 page thing, and the first one I wanted to do was a little girl who ran into faeries. I'm a very sarcastic person, but I love doing stories about cute things. This was the first and only sketch of her. I, instead, ended up doing a story about my character Jimmy being taken by faeries.

I just got into Doctor Who recently. And by recently, I mean a little more than a week now. It took me no time to start drawing fan art of the 10th Doctor. The show is pretty delightful, and David Tennant is fun to draw...

Durp

I decided to sketch something a little Egyptian looking. I dunno. Drawing dreads is fun, and I think her face is cute. I'm thinking I might draw her again another time.

Old fandoms.

Ok, so I didn't get them POSTED every day, but I have been drawing. I'll post one of them, so I have some back up. Cheating, I know.


It's been a loong time since I've been in the Yugioh fandom, but I was talking about it the other day and decided to draw my favorite character, Ryou Bakura, in a style more like what I use now. I'm pretty pleased with the results. Although, After I finished I realized I put his sweater stripe in the wrong place. AH WELL!
